"Thank a Vet" Discount Program of Ashe County

We are excited to announce our new "Thank a Vet" discount program scheduled to begin May 31st, 2016.  This program will allow Ashe County Veterans to receive discounts from participating businesses. 

To get started, a Veteran needs to bring their Military Discharge form along with a valid photo ID for recording in our office.  Veterans who already have their Military Discharge forms recorded with the Ashe County Register of Deeds need only bring a valid photo ID to receive a Veterans Discount Card.  Then simply present the Veterans Discount Card at participating businesses to receive the discount.

Cards will be issued Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm.

Disclaimer:  The Ashe County "Thank a Vet" Discount Card Program is issued for the purpose of receiving the discounts made available from participating businesses only.  It is NOT a valid photo ID for determining actual identity or residency.  It is NOT issued by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.  It does NOT entitle the holder to any claim of VA benefits.

If you have not yet signed up, we would like you to consider joining our businesses that already have, showing your appreciation for our Veterans.  You will be given a poster to display in your business showing your customers and our Veterans that you are a participant.  To join others who are participating in the program, click here.  Please print the application, fill it out, and fax or return it to the Ashe County Register of Deeds office.
