The Ashe County Building Inspections Department and Planning Department can assist prospective employers in building a new facility or adding on to an existing facility. The Building Inspections Department is responsible for ensuring all new constructions comply with the NC State Building Code. The Planning Department reviews all new development for compliance with the County’s Land Use Ordinance which includes Flood Control, Watershed Protection, and Polluting Industries.
